On September 22nd I was diagnosed with Leukemia. This has forced me to take medical leave, as I am no longer able to work to any deadlines, per doctor orders. But my desire to continue to use my talents is undiminished; hence Survivor Consulting Group.

I have always been fascinated by human interaction and the human condition. From a very young age I always wanted to know, "Why do people do what they do." My journey to answering these questions has taken a somewhat circuitous route, with me graduating from Bryn Athyn College of the New Church with an interdisciplinary BA in Psychology and History.

Upon graduation I found a home at a local internet technology powerhouse called Refinery where I launched my career, marrying my interest in human interaction, with the fastest growing means of facilitation of that interaction - technology. After a meandering career through Human Resources, Data & Analytics I finally found a home as a Strategist (and the acquisition of Refinery), where I happily learned from some of the best in the industry how to apply that craft to campaign marketing.

However, I felt there were gaps in my skill-set and I sought a way to elevate myself. Thanks to some gentle coaching by a cousin-mentor of mine I found the Executive MBA Program at Villanova. There are many wonderful things about this program, but above all is the instruction by Jamshid Gharajedaghi - and the entire programs orientation around "System's Thinking". What I learned at Villanova set me on a career transformation I could have never imagined.

Upon graduation I re-entered the working world and found a new home with another technology company, "Empathy Lab". Empathy also was quickly snapped up by a local technology mini-giant by the name of EPAM Systems - which is where I am currently on leave from. EPAM has allowed me to flourish in my career as we look at what it can mean for a traditional back-end technology company to transform into a truly end-to-end service delivery model organization.

Sadly for me, I am sidelined from this work, but I am unwilling to let my talents go fallow. So I am taking the time, under careful medical observation, to casually offer support to causes that matter to me. I have created the "Survivor Consulting Group" as a way for me to begin to build brand equity for myself, but also to serve as a means of inspiration to anyone who is looking to transform or transition how they show up in their work, relationships or personal life.

I am a survivor, and I am dedicated myself to making sure the things that matter to me survive, by thinking systemically about how technology can facilitate appropriate human interaction.

That is the story of Survivor Consulting Group.
